One of our highlights this term was pony riding with the RDA at Laurelview Equestrian Centre. All pupils enjoyed their first visit as we got to meet a little duckling in a bucket as well as all the horses. As the weeks went on some of the boys conquered fears and learnt new tasks whilst building on their waiting skills, developing their communication skills and of course learning to ride.
Parents of some of the pupils joined us on our last morning when the pupils received badges for all their hard work and showed off their riding skills to their families. A great achievement for all involved and a special thanks must be given to RDA for the excellent opportunity.
J14 pupils all had a busy summer and have returned to school ready to get back into routine. We are a class consisting of 3 staff and 7 active boys who enjoy sensory input throughout their day. We are looking forward to the year ahead when we will be learning about ourselves as well as covering topics like Woodland Animals, Superheroes and In The Garden. In these photos you can see our sensory circuits during a recent PE lesson.
